As
the recordcompany thought it would be nice to give the boys a warm welcome
to the Neths (as well as some good camera-shots for several television shows
and papers), they had announced their flight times in the hope many fans
would turn up to say HELLOOOO!!! About 80 fans had listened to this call
and were there to welcome them back on Dutch ground. A lot of hugs, presents
and pics were swapped. The boys couldn’t believe their eyes that so
many loyal fans had turned up and the recordcompagny as well as the press
was happy.After there arrival, it was straight on to the television studios in Aalsmeer for the boys.
They
would make an appearance on Hollands' biggest soap: Goede Tijden, Slechte
Tijden (good times, bad times). They did a little press before it all started.
Mark joked he did a lot of research by going to weddings. And j wanted to
marry the main character of the show: the girl that was about to be surprised
by a singing Take That at her wedding (oh gosh, don't we all want that).
But the boys did more then singing. They got some lines as well!!! (broadcasted
at the end of December!They were supposed to be back in the hotel between 5 and 6 but whether they were
having
such a good time at the studios or whether they just wanted the show to
be perfect (I guess both…?), they arrived at the hotel in style (being
sneaked away) way to late. They went straight on with the interviews: TMF
(the music factory), Starstyle (Dutch glossy) as well as some others. The
boys were popular material! That night they were on ‘SBS show news’
and ‘RTL boulevard’, both very popular showbiz shows! After
that they finally had some time for themselves: dinner, some drinks and
off to bed.The next day, they were on the front page of the biggest Dutch paper!!! ‘Take That-boys’ back for good… They finished some things here and left the hotel some time after twelve. At the airport another loyal bunch of fans were just waiting to say goodbye (way to soon). This time without reporters or television crews so the boys as well as the fans were a little bit more relax. ‘See ya at Jensen!’ Mark said. So, the waiting has began again!
